How to obtain a visa for Tibet? |

I will be travelling from Xian to Tibet by train and wish to know how to obtain a visa for Tibet(I am an Australian). The trip will be with Aust. friends living in Beijing, they can possibly get visas in Beijing but could they get one for me...do i need to sign the form? |

You do NOT get a visa for Tibet, you get a TTB permit.
You need to obtain the permit from the city that you would be boarding the train to Lhasa from, in this case Xi'an and not Beijing.

there are two permits of travel in tibet that is TTB &PSB, because some places in Nyingchi and Shigatse are asking PSB.
I suggest that u can consult some travel agenies. Usually the staffs are warm-hearted to give u info and suggestion freely.
