Duration of the health check'sfor Z visa. |

Is there anyone know what the duration of the health check's validity is? Is it just for the length of the Z visa ? Here in Jilin province, where I am issued one year visas because my company operates on an annual contract system, they only make me get a health check every 2 years.
But then again, when I worked in Shanghai, I didn't have to get a health check at all (modern Shanghai?). Originally, I thought one only needed an initial health check when they originally arrived in China (some years ago for me). I can't find any info on the web about this.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. |

I believe it varies from province to province. That's what we were told when our school started making us get health checks every year - that our province, via the provincial PSB, was making that a new requirement for the residence permit. |

In Hangzhou, I had to get one every year until 2005 when they told me it was changed to every 2 years, but now it's been 2 years and I didn't have one when I renewed my visa. |

it seems to vary from province to province. I went for 5 years with only the first health check then one day the officer handling the 'Z' renewal suggested it was time for another one. There doesn't appear to be any hard and fast rule. |
