I am going to Shenzhen next week and was wondering how far and how easy would it be to travel to Xiamen?
What best mode of transport and at what sort of cost? Also how far is Taiwan from Xiamen? Are there any ferries which go from the port of Xiamen there?

Shenzhen -- Xiamen is possible by flight, train and bus. Personally I'd choose train: slower than bus but safer and more comfortable.
There're Xiamen -- Taiwan ferries but you will NOT be allowed on them AT ALL unless you're Taiwanese, or Chinese national of Fujian province. |
