Hello:.

We're heading for Lhasa from Xining in a few days, and I've got this dream to visit the Kyunglung valley.

So, I know it's cold, and that you need permits that might be hard to get, but if you've got any info I'll be glad to recieve it.

What types of permits do you need? Do I need to get it htrough a tour operator, how many days will it take to get them? Is it still working to get to Ali and say hi to the PSB there or have they stopped that practice?

Is it possible to get a tour organized from Ali instead of Lhasa, if a tour with guide is wanted? A tour with guide will be heck of alot expensive, will it not?
