I'm going to be in Hong Kong for the Chinese New Year, and I've extended my trip by about 8 days to be able to go and visit China as well.

Does anyone have any favorite places/towns/villages/cultural spots on the boarder with hong-kong (within a days train/bus from hong-kong)?
Any tips or suggestions would be wonderful
