I am wondering how worthwhile the Harbin Ice festival is? It will involve a trin journey to get there from my home in Beijing. Is it worth it? I am planning to fly to Kunming to spend the rest of my holiday in Yunnan.

Would you advise just spending three weeks rather than two in Yunnan or are the ice sculptures in Harbin a must see in the China experience?

In my mind, the Ice Festival in Harbin is just soso.
If you have three weeks holiday, I suggest you to go to Yunnan, especially to the Xi Shuang Ban Na as it is the best season to visit there. Of course, the weather in Kunming or Dali is also tender.
