Hi,

Just after some recomendations as I'm in Xi'an at the moment and want to travel south towards Laos. So is there any place that I should go from here, I'm after a chilled out place with some intresting places to visit like temples, tombs,and the usual.

What is the boat trip like on the Yangzi river to see the three gorges? and which boat trip to take?

If you value your money and your time, don't even consider going on the 3 Gorges cruise.

go through Sichuan/Chengdu and then Yunnan. Trains travel from Xian to Chengdu is a good option.
Many options in Sichuan and Yunnan.
