Cruise with stops in China |
|
|
hi there
A cruise that my wife and I are considering has stops in mainland China. I need to know what is required as a US citizen to optain a visa.
I'd appreciate it if someone can help me with this information. It is my understanding that Hong Kong doesn't require a visa. Is that so?
thanks. |

The info should be available on the Chinese embassy in the US website. No visa is required for Hong Kong or nearby Macau. Where else does your cruise stop at in China?
An entry to Hong Kong or Macau is considered as an exit from China, and if the next port of call is another Chinese city, then you'll need a double entry visa to enter China. Otherwise, a single entry visa is needed. |
