travel to Tibet from Xian or Chengdu? |

Hello
Does anyone have any experience/ideas for flying from Xian to Lhasa? I have seen there are only 4 flights a week compared to the 21 out of Chengdu, but is this route fine and more importantly, is the Tibet Travel Permit as easily purchased with the air ticket from Xian to Lhasa as Chengdu to Lhasa?

It is possible to obtain a TTP in Xi'an. It may be more expensive and as you pointed out there are less flights per week from Xi'an. I know of at least one travel agent in Xi'an that takes care of the one-way ticket to Lhasa and the TTP..... |

You can request tibetfit@gmail.com to arrange valid Tibet permit and also air ticket for you. It should be cheaper then you buy from XI AN travel agent. |
