Disneyland to Giant Buddha ? |
|
|
I'm now planning for a day trip to Giant Buddha, the Peak & Light of Symphonic.
Would like to know the travelling time as it'll be very useful in my planning...
1) How long does it take to travel from Disneyland to Giant Buddha by taxi? & how much does it cost?
2) How long does one take to stay there, (include climbing up the 268 steps)
3) How long does it take to walk from Central Station to the Peak Tram terminal?
4) How long is the Peak Tram ride to the Peak?
5) How long does it take to walk to watch the Light of Symphonic from Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry terminal?
any feedback would be greatly appreciated. |

dear:
1) How many persons are you? If you are less than three, I'd recommend to take the MTR (subway) to Tung Chung and proceed by bus from there to the big buddha. The bus ride is already an experience for itself as the ride is quite long and scenic...
2) As posted before, plan for around half a day for the trip. If you just want to see the buddha one hour might be enough to spend up there. However, there are a lot of nice walks you should try, so having more time is worthwhile.
For the way back, I'd suggest to take a bus to Mui Wo and proceed by ferry to Central on HK Island. It's a very nice ride!
3) Ditto to the above! However, I would recommend to take the Minibus up to The Peak and only go down by Peak Tram as the tram is relatively costly and the ride by Minibus is a great and very local experience and the cheapest way to get up there.
4) Not very long!
5) Well, sitting at the harbour front watching the awesome skyline is already an experience you won't forget. The light show lasts around 20 minutes if I remember correctly but you probably want to stay longer anyway... |
