I am planning a trip to china next month for two weeks with my girlfriend.And I am thinking of booking the ticket in advance, do you think it's a good idea to book our tickets online (via elong) now? (domestic tickets shanghai-beijing)

any suggestions would be appreciated.

It depending on where you're from, we found that once there, tickets are much cheaper...MUCH!

We had no trouble acquiring tickets when we arrived, either at the airport counter or, from a travel agent.

Tickets are driven up by agents on the western airwaves whereas, China regulates it's ticket prices.

We looked at tickets costing upwards of 200.00 between cities between Beijing and Xian, for example, but ended up paying about $60.00 - $80.00!

I suggest waiting and buying from an agent.
