There are so many cities around Shanghai : They are Suzhou ,Hangzhou , Xuzhou , Nanjing , Wuzheng ...
There are groups (mostly Chinese groups) everyday departs from Shanghai to the cities around Shanghai , if you want to save some expenses joinning a group will be the best way. |

Every half an hour a fast trains and buses are availible between Shanghai to the Cities around , so you can go there any time by train or by bus. |

Hangzhou : to visit the West Lake
Suzhou : to visit the Classical Gardens of Suzhou
And try to visit Wuzhen and Xitang, they are both very beautiful water towns: |
