Hi, welcome to hangzhou!
If you want to buy a tv set, best place to go is "Su ning" or "Guo mei". Both of them are chain-stores, and sell tv set, air conditioner, washing machine, mobile phones, and usually they are much cheaper than those big shopping center.
As for mp3, "Su ning" and "Guo mei" also have plenty, but if you want to have more choices and considerable nice price, I would recommend you to go to "Yi Gao Shu Ma Cheng". "Yi Gao" is simply the name, and "Shu Ma Cheng" refers to the "digital products market". It is on Wen san Rd, near the back door of Zhejiang university, Xixi campus.
And about the street market, "He Fang Jie" which refers to an ancient street, is a nice option although stuff there is not that cheap. If time permits, better to go "Huan Bei Xiao Shang Pin Shi Chang"---literally means Huan Bei little products market or "Dong Zhan"---a market near East bus station. You will see tons of cheap and good stuff there.
Feel free to ask if you are still not clear and good luck! |
