RENTAL CARS - is this possible in Beijing?
We're thinking about going from Beijing to either:
Xi'an
OR
a combination of Datong and Chengde
We would like to drive between those places. Is that possible? |

it is impossible to rent a car for a short-term visitor in China. One of our friend came and really really anxious to drive in Guangzhou while traveling. But we could not make it at last.
We did a lot of research and even went and consulted the branch of two world famous car renting company AVIS HERTS in Guangzhou. The answer is NO
In China , just in some districts in Shanghai, allow the people from other countries to get the temporary driving licence. That is all. Maybe things will change in futures years. One way is possible is to rent both a driver and a car. |

But as a foreigner, sometimes you can get a non-temporary license, will take you about two weeks though. Talk about your personal situation to www.gd-gd.com |
