5 days tour in Hong Kong,where to go? |

I am going to be in Hong Kong for business and have 5 days beforehand to do whatever I would like as well as 3 days after my meetings. I am wondering what type of itinerary I could accomplish with such a short time frame.
I was thinking trying to fly somewhere before the meeting and making it back in time, then spending the 3 days after exploring HK itself.
Any ideas on where to go - I would prefer not to spend more than about $1,000 CAD for the flight and living expenses over the five days. I'm having trouble finding any sort of regional flight information from HK that isn't horribly expensive.

Guilin is near HK. Beijing is important to know the history. Go one place. 5 days is enough. Cross the border to Shezhen and discount regional flights to all over China are available. Shezhen-Guilin around trip full fare CAD 250. Shezhen-Beijing around trip full fare CAD 500.
March/april is not a busy season. You can get 20% to 50% discount.
3 star hotel should be around CAD 30-35 per night. |
