Hi there,
I will be in Beijing for a month starting around the 29th of April. Im currently teaching in Japan and Im going there to do my Celta teaching qualification. Can anyone recommend a decent cheapish hotel that I can stay in around world trade center area for a month. Ive heard that the beijing internation youth hostel is okay, but Id like something a bit more private as I have to study a fair bit. Any suggestion are gratefully appreciated. Also does anyone know a way I can find out about trains from Shanghai to Beijing, as I cant get a direct flight to Beijing from Narita without it costing an arm and a leg!

You can take the direct express train from Beijing railway station(not west station) go to Shanghai, it doesnt' stop in between the two cities, and takes 12hr, and RMB499 for soft sleeper.
Everyday from 19:00, to 19:28, every 7 minutes, a train set off from Beijing to Shanghai. |
