what is Mongolia and China visa like? |
|
|
Please could someone tell me if the Mongolian tourist visa is a paper one (like a label) which is then stuck on a page in my passport or is the visa just stamped (an ink one) onto a page in my passport. Also is Chinese tourist visa a paper one or is it a stamp?
If you want to know why I'm asking this Please read on. But it's a bit complicated.
I only have one completely blank page in my passport to take one stamped (ink) visa.
I also have another page which could be used take a paper visa (label), as the page on which the paper visa could be stuck has not actually been used; but the ink from a previous Thai visa on the other side of this page has seeped through slightly. So a paper visa could be stuck on the page which has not been used yet; but which is showing some ink.
So if at least one of the above visas is paper then I can avoid the trouble of having to get a new passport here in Thailand and transfering my Thai visa to my new passport.

The Chinese visa is a paper one (a big sticker).
But there must be some room in your passport for your entry and exit stamps.
These stamps are pretty small, but are usually stamped on a page after the visa.
Mongolia uses paper visas since 2003 or so. They still stamp the entry/exit stamps on the same page, though.I don't know what will happen if that page is occupied by a Mongolian visa. |
