would you recommend this hotel ?
My problem is: I found the hotel on Chinese booking agent website but I haven`t been able to find it on US or other foreign major travel related sites.
Is the location of the hotel in the centre of the city ?
2) Is it possible to see major Shangai spots in 2 or 3 days ? Planning seriously for Jade Buddha Temple and Pearl TV tower,
considering Yuyuan Garden (is it really crowded ? I`d give up then),
Frenchtewn (any fin de siecle architecture left ?).
Anything else ? |

I dont know of this hotel personally but generally the standards of Shanghai hotels is very reasonable.I believe the hotel you ask about is near to the Bund(Riverside) and the Nanjing Rd Shopping area. You should be able to do all the sights you have mentioned in two or three days.
The Jade Budha temple and Yuyuan gardens are worth the trip.The Pearl tower is good for views only (sometimes not even this if weather is bad) should only take a couple of hours max from the bund hotel.
Taxis are cheap and plentiful,providing it is not raining,so its fairly easy to get to your places. The Shanghai museum can also be an iteresting place to spend an afternoon. |
