Hello!
I am very interested in China but I have never been there. I am considering studying chinese at university and I was wanting to find out what people thought of the country and of the people. I was also wondering if anyone has taken lessons in Chinese and what they thought. Any comment on this matter is welcomed. |

I think China is fascinating--and the more you study it and spend time there, the more interesting it is. It is not as exotic as some people expect (especially the north), and maybe not so user-friendly. Even the language is tough--I mean Chinese characters are not EASY to learn. But it is partially the challenge of it all that makes it rewarding. I am a terrible language student, but I did manage. |
