I'll be heading to HK next month. Am very eager to try out all the
nice local foods. Please advise on food that I shouldn't miss. I would
appreciate if you could tell me the location as well.

desserts in hk r nice too. there's a chain store called 'hui lau shan'
serving hong kong style desserts... mainly combinations of various fruits,
and some chinese traditional desserts like 'sesame paste' (i justdunno the
englishname, it's a hot dessert in black color) are also available.
u may also try out some foods in 'tea houses' -- actually it's just some
small restuarants running business everywhere (we call it 'cha can ting' in
putonghua) the food served is just 'local' but not anything special, for
instance for a lunch set it may be just some instant noodles cooked with egg
or beef. it's just a place to experience the local life of hong kong people.
if u r coming to hk next month, it's the season for eating crabs. don't miss
it!
