storing 'luggage' on tour around Lhasa? |
|
|
I'm going Lhasa in June and will be bringing a large backpack. What would you suggest I do with this during the day when I am just checking out the city? I'd rather not take it with me everywhere I go. Is it safe to just leave it in your room (I'll be at one of Yak, Banak, Snow, Kirey, etc.), esp if you are sharing the bathroom...do those have locks on the doors? (Lonely Planet says leaving valuables in your room is a bad idea). Are there public lockers for storage avaiable anywhere? What about longer...if I take a trip out of the city and stay there for a night, assuming I don't need the backpack...any suggestions on where to keep it?
thanks! |

I normally just leave my stuff in the room, keep money, passport and camera on me. Never had anything stolen. Last time I stayed at the Kiery, they have a left luggage facility where you can leave your stuff if your going outside Lhasa for some days and dont want to take everything with you. I have done the same earlier at the Pentoc.
And I normally stay in dorms. Never had anything stolen. |
