I need a hotel in HK which falls outside my previous HK$250 guesthouse and $700 boring bizz hotel experience.

Can someone recommend a hotel in HK (open to any locations, Island inc around Repulse/Deepwater Bay, Kowloon or New Territories) which has good sized rooms, reasonable resuaturants in or very close to the hotel and err, little bit romantic, no twin beds and doesn't jack up the price on Feb 14. Anything around HK$800-1,200 would be OK.

Anyone stayed at Bishop Lei in Midlevels in one of the harbour view rooms - what's that like?

Your best chance at getting something mildly romantic within your price range is the Silvermine Bay Hotel in Mui Wo. My guess is that a lot of places will be booked out though. Probably a better idea might be to cross the border - the Holiday Inn Hotel in Zhuhai is excellent value and it is just one hour by ferry.
