I?m going to Beijing and Xi'an in May. A friend asked if I could bring back a cool Chinese sword like the ones in the movie.
I don't ever remember seeing one. Anyone who know where they might be sold? And if it?s better for me to get them in Xi'an or Beijing? |

There are many markets in Beijing. I remember seeing some swords south of Hepingmen in the Liulichang market areas. But I cannot honestly speak for their quality or workmanship.
In Xi'an, your best bet is to walk the Muslim Quarter just north of the Drum Tower. There are a few small streets the make a maze in the M.Q.
There are lots of shops selling novelties, swords and knives among them. But once again, I cannot speak for their quality. |
