Getting a Chinese tourist visa in Tokyo |
|
|
Hi!
Does anyone know of a travel agent in Tokyo that I could use to get a tourist visa for China ?
I`ve got a ticket and am leaving in 3 weeks - the problem is that the Chinese Embassy here in Tokyo is only open from 9-12 and there is absolutely no way I can take the time off work (not without loosing a HELL of a lot of money!!!)
I`ve heard that some people have used travel agents to get them the visa - I hope someone out there knows of one, or any other way I could get the visa!
Thanks all! |

Every time I have visited China a Japanese travel agent (e.g. JTB) has gotten me the visa. It takes some time of course and costs more money than it should, but it beats the hassle. However, I am unsure about them getting you a visa without you purchasing a ticket from them. They make a profit on issuing you the visa so I would imagine they would do it regardless, but seeing as it is bureaucratic Japan you never know.
Send an e-mail in English to Across Traveller's bureau in Yokohama and ask them:
