|
|
Going to Beijing on fri. from Ireland. I have been told that the euro is widely accepted for changing to RMB in Beijing - true ???
also how are customs coming back - I want to pick up my boss some golf clubs while I am there , I would also like to get an ipod type device , how much ( ballpark )
which are the easiest ways to get to the wall at any other point than badaling ?
also am I made to be going there during new year or will places be open - markets / parks ??
Sorry for all the questions - but at least i will be able to help someone when i get back .
Thanks a million, |

the Chinese are really into Euros at the moment (don't get traveller's cheques in dollars - you'll lose out)
one thing to bear in mind though, they're much less accomodating when it comes to changing RMB back into a western currency (only dollars in this case). Make sure you keep one or two receipts delivered after money changing operations (ie go to the bank at least once, if you stick to ATMs, yer buggered) because they won't let you change any money back otherwise |
