This is my itinerary:

Beijing
Xian
Guilin
Beijing


What are my options of travelling from Xian to Guilin?

Guilin to Beijing?

Is my itinerary in a logical order based on the location of these cities and ease of transport?

How much will plane/train cost?

Hi Karen,

If you have to travel from Beijing and back to Beijing at last, there are no better itinerrary than the one you listed, logically or economically.

Plane:
Beijing -> Xian: 1050.00
Xian -> Guilin: 1090.00
Guilin -> Beijing: 1790.00
You may get discount, but you have to pay for airport construction fee (50yuan) and fuel surcharge (about 40yuan??)

Train(softsleeper):
Beijing - > Xian: 417.00 (Recommend)
Xian -> Guilin: 613.00 (I suggest you take flight for this section, it takes more than 28 hours!!)
Guilin -> Beijing: 658.00 (It takes at least about 23 hours! Taking flight is better.)

Beijing looking for a 3 star hotel for about RMB 200 hotel in Beijing
3-Star Beijing Rainbow Hotel - 240RMB (discount from 500)
2-Star Beijing Guoren Hotel - 185RMB (discount from 290)
Discount is only good if you book reservation through Travel Company.
