travel to China-Shanghai and somewhere else to go |

Hi,
I really need some help planning an itinerary.
I am going to China in the middle of March and I have 12 nights there before heading to Hong Kong. We are flying in and out of Shanghai and were planning to head to Beijing for a few days on an overnight train. I would love some advice on where to go after Beijing, bearing in mind I need to get back to Shanghai.
If you have any recommendations, I would really to love hear them.
Looking forward to hearing from you. |

2 days Shanghai, then overnight train to Beijing.
4 to 5 days Beijing (incl 1 day to the Great Wall), then overnight train to Xi'an.
2 1/2 days (2 nights) Xi'an, then train back to Shanghai.
Spend the remaining days in Shanghai with one-day excursions to Suzhou, Hangzhou and/or some small watertowns near Shanghai.
or
2 days Shanghai,
4/5 days Beijing,
5 days Huangshan (incl. travel)
Back to Shanghai |
