Hi

I understand that I can get to Hongkong from Guangdong by bus, train or catamaran. I am thinking of getting to Guangzhou first from Hubei. Then I will take a bus to Kaiping and maybe spent a day there. Finally, I will take a catamaran (http://www.cksp.com.hk/eng/route/main.html） to Hongkong. I have gotten this idea from frommers (http://frommers.com/destinations/guangzhou/3390010011.html)
Any comments? Should I book a ticket in advance?

From cksp.com, it seems that ticket prices are based on HK$. Is Guangdong a good place to exchange RMB for HK?

You are right and the formers also gave you best way to go Hongkong.
You can book ticket and it is cheaper if you don't book and buy it in urgent it is more expensive than any other time
