We are heading to China in February and I am hoping to buy some cheap outdoors gear (cheaper than Australia). I am looking for tents and Gortex style jackets. LP only mentions outdoor gear in stores, most of the gear sold in Australia is made in China does anyone know where I may be able to find some.

theres plenty of outdoor shops in Lhasa and in Chengdu I have seen a couple around the Traffic Hotel.
