I have a savings account and checking account with HSBC. I know they have branches in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong- but does anyone know if I'm going to get charged a large service fee if I use a non-HSBC ATM? I know that if I use a non-HSBC ATM here, i get charged about $2-$3 in addition to my withdrawal, I was just wondering if it would be easier to just bring some cash with me. |

The self-proclaimed "World's Local Bank" charges Hong Kong customers HK$20 for each withdrawal from the HSBC ATM network outside Hong Kong. Withdrawals from non-HSBC ATMs cost HK$20 or HK$25, depending on the network. Only withdrawals from the HSBC ATM network in Hong Kong are free. |
