Buy equipment (trekking and others) in Lhasa |
|
|
I will soon come to the very marvelous place TIBET and I do still have some open questions about
this trip.
In Lhasa, are there any stores where I can buy the necessary equipment
that makes a stay and other adventures in TIBET possible, for instance,
can I buy trekking-equipment in Lhasa?
Another rather specific Question: Power-supply?
Is there any power-supply up there? Probably not that much,
as I suppose. Should I organise some kind of Solar-power-supply, so
that I can still use my Camera, or maybe even a note-book, or even a small radio?
How do you resolve questions and problems of that kind?
Thank you for any useful infos

What do you mean by powersuppli. In Lhasa theres light and running water. If you want to go trekking, then no. There is no teahousetreks in Tibet, you have to bring tent and everything with you. Its easy to buy equiptment in Lhasa, several shops around the old quarter sell this sort of equiptment. Unless you count on hiring a guide and a yak for your stuff keep the weight down, I would advice you to leave the note book and the radio and stick to your camera. Bring an extra battery, that would be far more easy than bringing a solar power supply. There will be electricity in most small towns. |
