Hi everyone,

I'm planning to make my first trip to HK for some seriously shopping from 12-15 feb... but the thing is Chinese New Year starts on the 10th... so i'm not sure if all the shopping areas are closed! Does anyone know if they are? I'm not really interested in the big shopping centres... more of the street bazaars, night markets, like the Ladies market that i've heard about, etc.

Any info will be helpful.

Instead closing all 4-5 days in the past, many HK shops close only 1-2 days in the Chinese New Year. Some shops don't close at all. The night markets and Ladies Market are open all year.
