Entering China twice in as many months? |
|
|
Come August i will be doing the overland China - Tibet - Nepal - India travels, my questions;
1) I'm looking at landing in Shanghai and making my own way to Chengdu...once there is it easy enough to secure overland travel into/around Tibet (once Tibet permit is issued...which takes how long to do exactly?)?
2) I take it it's easy to get from Lhasa to Kathmandu? Anybody any idea on costs for the Chengdu - Kathmandu leg? (roughly - everyones different i know.)
3) After doing Nepal I will be in India for a few months, I might have to return to Guangzhou (Canton-China) for a week or two before moving on to Malaysia...I know its not the best way to do things but needs must...are there cheap flights connecting anywhere in India to Guangzhou and if so will there be any visa issues re-entering China having just left a few months earlier?
Thanks in advance to anyone who answers any of my questions. |

No visa issues likely. If you can get a firm idea of your schedule, you may be able to get a two-entry visa so both of your trips to China are covered, with one application.
If your schedule remains vague, you can apply for the second Chinese visa in Delhi (assuming you have a week or so to get it) or if not, fly through Hong Kong, where faster service is available, and then take the train to GZ. |
