3 months accommodation in HK for living and tour |
|
|
Hi, I'm an Irish girl coming to work in Hong kong in February for 3 months. As I'm working at the Hongkong Polytechnic University , I have initially arranged accommodtaion in their staff quarters- however it seems very expensive $200 HK per night so that's about £620 per month!
As I won't be earning a tonne of money I would prefer to find something less expensive for the 3 months.
Can anyone give me any ideas??? please
thanks |

$200 a night is $6200 a month which for Hong Kong is not expensive!
However, PolyU staff quarters are now great - from what I have heard they are quite sparten but still ok. The good thing is that they are close to the Polyu so no travelling cost.
You can get cheaper - a hostel in Mirador for example but it will be much worse than the staff quarters.
Renting a flat would be cheaper, but you need to sign at least 12 month contract.
A possible option is to look in HK magazine when you get here and find a flat share. However most of these are long term.
Therefore, I'm sorry to say that staff quarters seem the best bet. |
