Who knows stuff about the yellow mountain for a traveler |
|
|
I am heading to China in March. I am travelling down from Beijing to Shanghai then to HK. From Shanghai I wanted to take a look at the Yellow mountain range in Huang shan. I was wondering if anyone knew what the best route to get there is? Also I wanna stay at the top for one night so if anyone has accomodation recommendations, much obliged. Whilst I have your attention and your knowledge if you have any places that I must go and see (more interested in seeing more county-side, out in the sticks) that is in between Shanghai and HK any info and knowledge is greatly welcomed.
Thanks |

if you are coming from Shanghai you can get a direct bus from the bus station near Xujiahui. There's also a direct train which leave Shanghai around 10 pm and gets you there the next morning. You'll then have to take a minibus from Tunxi, where the station is, to the foot of the mountain.
There are two cheap guesthouses at the summit. One at Beihai (the North Sea) and one at Xihai (the West Sea). Both are around 100 yuan (only 80 if you book at one of the travel agents at the foot of the mountain) and are basic, but okay. There are also some expensive options in the several hundred yuan range. |
