I am travelling to china on 28th may and intend to become a bit of a hiker, mainly up tai shan and in anhui. I am looking at hiking gear and was looking to know if i could get authentic north face/ lowe alpine gear in beijing for cheaper than european prices? Also looking to get a digital camera, is it worth buying in china or better off buying here before i go?

Digital cameras are a bit cheaper here, but not so much. If you really want much cheaper, you should go to Hong Kong and test your bargaining skills.
Considering Northface, I don't agree : these are really much cheaper here in China, if you have the bargaining skills and you don't mind that it's a copy. Some of these copies are really very good quality and worth it. Sometimes I even wonder if it really are copies and not the real ones |
