Hi - Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm in a rush and would like to know where would be a good place to exchange US dollars in Hong Kong ("good" meaning good rate): airport, bank or exchange booths on the street? I've heard that the rates at the airport are worse than in town? Also, I'll be arriving late Friday night, so may have to wait until Saturday morning to exchange. Any advice is very much appreciated. Thanks!

I generally change some money at the airport and then wait until I'm in town to do the rest. I haven't noticed a huge difference in the rates and unless you're exchanging a fairly large sum than I don't think it's a big deal.

In a nutshell my advice is similar to above: Change some at the airport than wait until you get into town to change the rest. Tsim Tsa Shui is probably the most convenient place to do it.

The travelex kiosk at the airport is competetive, but for a higher rate go to the Chunking Mansions at the botom of Nathan Road, and the furhter back you go in to the building the better the rate. Good luck!
