My BKK flight will arrive at HK Airport at 2pm and I will have to wait for the BA flight to London due to depart just before midnight.

1. Can I check through my luggage right from BKK, with the 9-hour gap between the flight? If not, would it be possible then to re-check my luggage at the moment I arrive at HK Airport so that I don't have to carry it around? Again this 9-hour gap is problematic for me in this regard.

2. What should I do during that break? I'm not into shopping that much but would probably need around 2 hours on that, so would like to see other possibilities of geeting out of airport to do something else, unless airport has more to do than shopping.

3. If getting out is the case, what would be the choice of transportation to that particular place?

you shouldn't have any problem checking in the luggage. most airlines can check in luggage 24 hours prior to your flight.

i'd take the airport express to central (buy a round trip 1-day ticket) take a cab to the peak tram station. take hte peak tram to the top. take some photos. come back down to central. eat a meal. take the star ferry across the harbor to tsim sha tsui. walk around for a bit. take a cab ot the kowloon airport express station. return to the airport.
