SW China Travel Itinerary & Recommendations |
|
|
Hello -
I am planning a 3-4 week trip to SW China this summer. The following is my current itinerary:
HK
Guilin / Yangshuo
Chengdu
Leshan
Emei
Kunming
Lijiang
Tiger Leaping Gorge
Dali
Does this seem like a reasonable itinerary? Am I missing any must-sees?
Also, has anyone obtained a visa for Vietnam in Kunming? I hear you can do it easily in the city, but I am not sure how long it takes. Is it also reasonable (and quick!) to obtain a China visa whilst in HK?
Thanks! |

Seems doable...
Don't rush Tiger Leaping Gorge... I did that last year, I only had three days to get there and away and do the trek...
The trek is doable in three days, but it is nicer if you have some extra time, so you can follow the small paths further up and see more things, also you don't have to rush and thus not enjoy the nature to its fullest...
Have fun
PS. Remeber sunscreen, the sun is really harsh, because you are in such high altitudes...also remember some semi warm cloths, it get chilly on the trek in the evening, even in the middle of July... |
