Off the beaten track in China |
|
|
I would like to go to China at the end of March for 1 or 2 weeks. Howver for this trip I'm not interested in exploring any of the major cities (though I will have to fly into one of them).
I want to see some spectacular landscape and rural culture in bearable weather conditions, perhaps by doing hiking or bike riding or horse riding or road tripping for example.
I would be very grateful for recommendations of what to do or any tales from off the beaten track in China.
Thanks in advance |

1) Guilin, Lijiang river & Yangshuo spring to mind for the classic Chinese scenery and small villages to cycle through.
2) Anywhere in Yunnan province for sheer diversity or culture and scenery.
Both of these places will still give you decent tourist infrastructure too....
