Now a friend of mine tells me to stay in the Bund area. He says there is more fun in that area. If I stay in Shanghai Haiwan Century Hotel (or some othler hotel), is it easy to get to Oriental tower? what transportation is good? Subway or Meglev train? How long does it take? Thanks. |

Following your last question it seems you just stay one night in Shanghai. The hotel I suggest is in the airport. So that will be convenient for you to save your baggage there.
Shanghai Haiwan Century Hotel is one nice hotel it is siad Accor is managing that hotel. From that hotel that is very easy for you to go to Bund. But you don't need to stay there as you just need to have a walk. Then come back. The Oriental Pearl Tower is in another side of the road. You have to cross two rivers to reach there. So there is no point for you to stay in that hotel.Unless you want to spend long time in check out from the Century hotel and take taxis to go to Airport.
Meglev Train only run from Pudong Airport to Pudong Downtown. Then you need to change to Metro (Subway) to go to the city centre you want to go like Nanjing Road. Then you can walk along Nanjing RD to the BUnd.Then cross the me and river to the other side to see Oriental Pearl Tower. The last step is go back to the hotel.YOu can save lots of time to do that.
Meglev train will cost you half one hour.Use the airline ticket of the same date you can get one cheap price as RMBY40.The orignal price is RMBY70. |
