Hi Everyone,
My mom is going to Hong Kong for a 2 day, 3 night stopover in early March.
She's also in need of accomodations. Would 300~400HKD per night get her something nice in Hong Kong? Mom's into travelling but she's decidedly not a backpacker. If you know of any nice places that fit the bill, your post gets my eternal gratitude. I want to know if the hotel can arrange tours and has airport pick up.
I've been to Hong Kong, and I know the train into the city is easy, and getting around Hong Kong is easy as well.
But, my Mom is flying around the world, it is her second time in Asia (the first time was to Japan) and apart from dealing with jet lag, she really just wants a nice, easy tour of the city where most of the details are taken care of.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Kim

May I suggest your mum tries the "Salisbury" in Kowloon. It is run by the YMCA and very good. There are different types of accommodation and they often have special deals, and as she is a senior citizen she will get other discounts there,as we did. It's an ideal location ,handy to underground ,walking takes five minutes to Star Ferry. It's located next to the Peninsula Hotel and opposite the Kowloon Hotel (which also has specials occasionally. The Salisbury website is www.ymcahk.org.hk We can recommend the breakfasts, and some of the evening meals in the ground floor cafe are OK They do arrange transport to and from airport by coach,we used it , and there's a tour desk in the hotel but you can also arrange tours at the tourist bureau next to Star ferry
