studying abroad in Beijing |
|
|
I'll probably be studying abroad in the fall and I was thinking about going to Beijing. How is the nightlife there? Is there something to do every night or only on the weekends? What do the Chinese people usually think of Americans? (i know some people don't like us...)
As far as the actual classes go, I don't really know if I'd be able to handle the classes over there. The Chinese people are pretty into studying so do you think it would be like that with classes for foreigners? I'd rather spend my time doing things other than studying.
I was thinking about enrolling into a Mandarin Chinese class too but it seems like it would be close to impossible for me to learn. Maybe speaking it is possible but I don't know about reading it. Did any of you learn Chinese? How was it? |

About nightlife: I think you can always find place to go if you want.
About American: no need to worry about this at all.
About classes: you are not the only foreigner here, other guys can get through, so can you.
About Chinese classes: you have to learn some, anyway you are in china, the best place to learn Chinese, and it's not as hard as you thought.
Different kinds of classes for different people, pick the one fits you! |
