Three Gorges / Yangtze River / Dam |

Would like to do a trip in China on the Yangtze River (yellow river)
thru the Three Gorges and am thinking about a trip from Chongqing to
Wuhan. 3 or 4 star ships are my idea.
Do you have a recommendation or a warning on specific ships?
Is this recommendable at all in February?
Are there better starting and endpoints for this trip?
Is there a good way to have a visit of the new dam? |

I recommend you try to book the newest ship possible. They don't know how
to do maintainence in China. Ships (and buildings) fall apart relatively
fast.
You can cruise all the way to Shanghai. But why would anyone do that I
don't know. Only a relatively short stretch of the river is interesting
scenically (and fast becoming not so because of the dam).
I think a visit to the dam is part of most of the cruises. |
