What's the cheapest way??? |
|

I'm a student spending this summer mostly in Chengdu, China. I want to leave around May 22nd to go see my friend in Beijing and spend the week with her. I need to get into Chengdu on May 28th for Orientation. My classes are done with on the first few days in July and July 5th I wanted to visit Lhasa, Tibet for a few days and then fly home.
I've gone to countless websites and my itinerary plane tickets are $1500 along (not including Tibet)
Should I just get a flight to Beijing? Separate flight/train to Chengdu? Separate flight to Lhasa?
I'm trying to make this as cheap as possible.
Also, I plan on travelling alone and I'm half filipina half white American if minority cards play an issue in China, which I've heard they do. |

i think you book round-trip flight ticket to beijing before your leaving,it will be cheaper.and from beijing to chengdu you can take a train(fast train) .it takes you 26hours,hard-sleeper will be okay.if you take a flight ,the fee will be more than double.
you can arrange the flight ticket to lhasa very easy in chengdu.they can help you get the flight ticket and permit in 2/3days .and you can travel by yourself in lhasa. |
