6 Weeks in China |

Hello, can I get some advise?
I will be arriving in Beijing from S.Korea by Ferry. I will leave by crossing into Vietnam, 6 weeks later. I will be there from the last week of May.
My intended route was Bejing > Xi'an > Chengdu > Lhasa > Chengdu > Wuhan > Shanghai> Hong Kong > Macau and into Vietnam.
Is this feasible? Advisable? What weather can I expect? Anything I will miss by going this route?what about the budget hotels?
Any advise is appriciated... |

do you have any specific reason why you want to see Hong Kong? It's comparatively easier to get to than other parts of mainland China, so you could possibly have a chance to visit it again as part of another trip. Personally I'd try Beijing-Xi'an-Nanjing-Shanghai-(possibly Hangzhou or Luzhi/Wuzhen/some small water village)-Yangshuo, and then pass through Nanning to get to Vietnam. What do you think of that? I think you'll be able to see a good mix of modern vs ancient (for want of a better word), and scenery vs history.
Cheers! |
