Tianmen is a rather small (according to Chinese standard, I guess) city in central Hubei, about an hour bus ride west of Wuhan (the capital). For myself, sorry I have to say I personally would look elsewhere if I have to live somehwere in China; however, a small city with some rather down-to-earth Chinese folks and their ear-torturing dialect (Tianmenhua...I could barely understand any at all) may be something interesting and you'd be enjoying...so who knows...
About the school - as far as I've heard, it's a quite reputed middle/high school locally. So bet you'll have some good time there in terms of teaching (English?).
Try to get to Wuhan if you feel too bored at your spare time, there's plenty of fun stuff there to do.
