questions regarding china trip |
|
|
In mid february, i plan to travel around south western china. is there a risk of malaria anywhere in south china, i . e. the itinerary i plan to travel. roughly between kunming and hongkong and any other places of interests in the area. my immunisations i got all worked out, if there is malaria i will need tablets.
-the budget i figured out is 25 euros or 30 us dollars a day. times 30 = 750 euros or 900 us dollars. is this a realistic budget? am i likely to spend more, or less? how much did you spend a day on your china trip?
-what will the climate be? will a wintercoat be necessary, or will one or two sweaters over eachother be sufficient? is snow in southern china in february/ march common?
-can you recommend any places of interest to visit? the plain ticket will be one month valid, take out 4 or 5 days in total in hong kong this leaves rtoughly 25 days to travel around. where is the place to go? is going down to kunming stretching it too much, making too many kilometers? or is is doable? what do you think?
any advice appreciated, thanks in advance |

Very small risk of malaria at that timeof year - negligable.
that budget sounds about right, assuming you visit the touristy sights but donlt stay in 5* hotels
suggest one sweater and a coat, depending on the day.
witha couple of fligths you can go anywhere, but do try to make use of the trains, they are good.
Kunming would be a good base for things all over the province and maybe Chengdu |
