Weather in Jan. and Feb. adapt to travel in Yunnan? |
I am acually planning on going to Yunnan with my girlfriend during the Spring festival (january and february). It is impossible for us to travel at another time of the year, and I was wondering if you think it is possible to go to Lijiang, The Tiger Leaping Gorge, Zhongdian, and even Deqin at this time of year? What is the weather like in this places? What do you recommend?
Thank you very much for your help! |

The most beautiful time to visit Zhongdian & Deqin is from March to November each year. All the flowers are blooming. On Jan & Feb, it is snowing in the Shangri-la and Deqin, the road to each places will be dangerous for the travelers. You can sightsee in the Tiger-Leaping Gorge, but we do not suggest you trek in there. The old town of Lijiang is the center of Naxi culture; you can see the charming old houses and narrow streets in anytime of the year. The best time to visit Lijiang is from April to October each year. I hope that this information helps. |
