Some information about China |

Along with 3 others,(2 Couples) i am planning a trip to china Dec 06-Jan 07. We plan to spend about 14 days. We have 2 days in Hong Kong, 2 Days in Guillin, 3 Days in Beijing and 5 days in Shanghai. My questions are as follows.
1) Should we pre book everything through a travel agent in Australia or should we book when we get to China.IE: Hotels, Flights etc etc
2) Are we better flying from Guillin to Beijing and then From Beijing to Shanghai or should we take a train.
3) What are the best areas to stay in both Beijing and Shanghai which gives us easy access to shopping, nightlife etc etc.
4) What Hotels would you recommend. I don't want top of the range but i do want something clean and tidy maybe 4 star.
If you could help me with these questions it would be much appreciated. Thank you |
